Round 2 begins at the Villa

Our Villa group got off to a great start with a snorkel trip to Playa Panamá and a photography walk in the Playa Hermosa area today.  The snorkelers saw a huge variety of marine life, including spotted eagle rays, sea horses, starfish, spotted moray eels, and quite a few different reef fish species. Prior to their departure, snorkelers discussed coral reef ecology and its relationship with tropical marine species.

The highlight of the trip: A sea horse!

Photographers explored playa Hermosa through their camera lenses. Jonathan explained some of the camera’s basic features and the photographers ventured out to find visual stories to tell. Students observed vivid colors, eye-catching shapes, and exciting beach activity as Costa Ricans finished their last weekend of winter vacation.
