Reunited and it feels so good!

Finalmente! After 6 long days of separation, the Putney Foundations Costa Rica group has finally reunited for an exciting weekend of zip lining, horseback riding, and kayaking at Rancho Margot.  Nestled between the shores of Lake Arenal and the impressive Arenal Volcano that towers above it, Rancho Margot is farm, hotel, and eco-tourism destination, which employs many self-sustainable practices to lessen its environmental footprint. The ranch runs pipes beneath a composting pit to heat water, makes its own biodegradable soap from recycled oil, and runs all its facilities with renewable hydroelectric power. The students took tours of the farm after tucking in to a fantastic buffet lunch. After dinner, students returning from El Silencio shared their Latin dance skills with students coming from the Villa. The next morning, a few early risers took advantage of a 7 am yoga class and cow milking before breakfast, and then we enjoyed a full day of kayaking, horseback riding, and ziplining.
