We spoke with the community service leaders yesterday who gave us an update on how things have been going in Silencio:

Sunday there was a big volleyball game comprised of Putney students and Silencio locals as part of a Putney Olympics themed set of sporting events. Everyone had a wonderful time! They have been working on finishing their construction project and have been making progress on their painting project as well. Yesterday the group had a light work day as 1/2 the group was able to visit the local lecheria (dairy farm) in the morning to try their hand at milking a cow. The whole group gathered together in the afternoon with local friends to head up one of the nearby hills on a hike to get a beautiful vista of their surroundings including Lake Arenal and a peak of Arenal Volcano. Today is their last day in the village. On Wednesday both groups will travel to Rancho Margot for 2 days before switching places!
